Meet The Academy Tutors

Neil Cackett - Principal

Neil started at The Academy as a volunteer in 2014 and then moved on to assist in acting. He then went onto to become tutor of Topaz group before moving on to becoming one of the singing tutors. He has many years experience in amateur theatre on and off the stage where he started at the age of 7. In his spare time he runs an amateur theatre group 'Westwell Players' in Ashford and now The Academy too. Neil has 5 children that keep him on his toes!

Neil loves nothing more than being silly and making everyone laugh!

Monika - Singing Tutor

Monika Joined The Academy in 2013. She has trained and gained a BTEC Diploma in Performing Arts. She is a regular singer / actor / musical theatre performer in local amateur groups and has played many lead roles including one her favourites: Delores Van Cartier in Sister Act the Musical. 

Monika is a fabulous tutor who gets the most from the children.

Georgie - Dance Tutor

Georgie is a dance graduate from Greenwich University and K College
she has worked for over10 years part-time in musical theatre schools. She loves choreographing the show routines and is excellent in bring the children together to create their own master pieces!

Georgie is a  great positive influence on her classes and has fantastic vision.

Ruby - Topaz Tutor

Ruby is an ex student of The Academy and has come back to teach. She has had a great experience since leaving the Academy as an actor, model and dancer.

The children love her style and see her as one of them. 

Sarah - Dance Tutor

Sarah has danced since the age of 4, training at Lacey Theatre Arts dance school. She is trained in many different disciplines of dance such as Ballet, Tap, Modern, Lyrical and Musical Theatre. Sarah has lots experience working with Children having assisted with teaching dance classes and she is currently working towards her IDTA Associate Ballet Teacher qualification. 


Sarah has represented the South of England in the IDTA ballet championships at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool. She has also performed in the professional Qdos Entertainment Company’s pantomime at the White Rock Theatre, Hastings for the past 4 years. In 2018 Sarah had the chance to choreograph the show “Anything Goes” with the Renaissance Theatre Company, raising funds for St Michael’s Hospice.
